Hi All,
Just wanted to say a big thank you to the many of you that have got in touch and posted get well messages to Joshua following his seemingly innocuous fall at Landrake the other week in which he badly bruised two of his internal organs, the lower stomach wall and pancreas. The Haematoma (bruise) to the exit of his stomach is such that no food or fluids will currently pass through his system and as a result all nutrients are having to be feed intravenously. Surgery is still a possibility but at the moment we're all watching and waiting in hope that it won't be necessary (Doctors and surgeons included). Josh is currently in the children's ward at the Heath Hospital, Cardiff, where he's likely to remain for the next few weeks.
Thanks again for all your kind words, we've passed on all messages to Josh and they've certainly been a lift to both Aleksandra and myself.

KTM 85 B/W 2006 for sale. This bike was bought from new by the KTM Adventure school in South Devon. We bought it from them in 2007 and prepared it for racing. Therefore this bike has only had two owners since new and been well maintained. The bike was prepared for the 2009 race season by Marsh Performance in Saltash with an engine rebuild and KTM factory full exhaust system. Through the season it has had regular oil changes, piston replacements, recent chain and sprocket, front and rear. The bike has K-tech suspesion springs, Fat bars, Talon hubs and Excel rims front and rear.This bike has never been used for the Weston beach race. The bike was successfully used by my son to win the South West Off Road Championship 10-13 yrs. This is a quick bike ! Hi all, unfortunatly due to lack of numbers again we have had to cancel this weekends race meeting at tiverton
with only 66 riders booked in we wouldnt have covered the price of the track let alone first aid cover, toilets,insurance, ect,
whether or not this is due to the weather i dont know. Sorry if its messed up your weekend, but apart from putting a gun to peoples heads theres not much more i can do.

Hi im sorry there seems to be some confusion .Originaly at the presentation the results where wrong and have since been rectified .I have spoken to mike goldsworthy to apologise. As for the results that have been put on the website they seem to have been put on wrong the over all results are correct but the points should read like this
richard marsh 109 and 131 =240
mike goldsworthy 100 and 110 =210
ben puddy 104 and 103 =207
gavin searle 107 and 97 =204
tom butts 95 and103 = 198
so as you can see the results where very close and made for some good racing, if you have any more quries please dont hesitate to speak to my self or Wendy.

Hi can someone please take a look at the amx results for the 2 dayer because they dont make sense. Ben Puddy got 3rd overall at the presentation thingy, but on the results mike goldsworthy has 2nd place when Ben Puddy has more points than him..how does that work out? Tom Butts and Mike goldsworthy ended up with the same amount of points over the whole weekend, with Tom getting more points on the Monday, which should mean he got 3rd overall. Putting Puddy into 2nd

answers to who ever you are
combe martin is only a provisional date in case we have to cancel any club champ meetings, plus it will ride in any adverse weather conditions. All tracks in bristol and surrounding area i .e rockhampton , marshfield cheddar and others have already booked their dates for the year. yes i do live in somerset and don,t mind travelling although i can,t afford to al the of the time. Moving on to the suggestion that south west moto x club is muscling their way in and running our club is laughable, what they are doing is providing adry and comfotable place for our lap scorers , and a pa system as well as helping out at our venues which is more than some than our members do so a big thankyou to them.I HOPE THIS ANSWERA YOUR QUESTIONS
IF you stopped to think you would know all fixtures are set at the beginning of the season by the committee in charge at the time, not changed by the new chairman or the committee halfway through the season. If you to ride tracks in somerset not a problem we can ride laucherly , enmore ,yarley don,t include CRICKET ST, THOMAS because it needs a work party to turn out for three to four weeks to build the track. perhaps you would be so kind as to volunteer yourself to start a work party.
PRESENTATION VENUE
We spent three days on the phone and internet trying to find a suitable venue for our presentation evening unfortunatly unable to find one , they were either fully booked or closed from october 31 onwards perhaps you could suggest somewhere
You will be informed about trackes for next year when we ourselfs as committee members are informed.
I HAVE TAKEN NOTE AND I WII REVEAL WHO I AM NOT HIDE MY IDENTITY
So the riders will go else where and ride out of their area [ I HOPE THEY DON,T]

Its a great shame that alot of people are putting their own time and money into trying very hard to provide a motocross club for everyone to enjoy . Why do I bother I ask myself because someone always moans, and that someone never wants anyone to know how they are, That someone never wants to help and that someone will never put their hand in their pocket. No matter what we do as a club it will always be the wrong thing, thats life I guess .As a committee you can only try to do your best . You can please some of the people some of the time, but not all the people all of the time!
Yes I agree that it would be nice, to ride in Somerset alone, but there just isnt the tracks to do that, unless, that is you would like to ride the same three tacks week in- week out. I repeat being on any committee is a thankless task, that I am not surprised no wants to do it, but thank god, South Somerset has a handfull of people that are willing to have a go. Mike Smith.

SIMPLE, the riders will just find elsewhere, ssmxc wont get the riders and will have to cancel their meetings. The riders will support the club if the club meetings are good tracks in their area..Windwhistle for example. I think the riders/members minds are made up...they will ride elsewhere next year. The club is struggling because people cant afford to travel..let alone ride in these hard times, so you just wont get the riders to these meetings that arent within the clubs area!

We have to keep ALL members happy as most of them come from all over the country not just in Somerset. Why not become a committee member and then you could help choose your tracks and have a say in what goes on. If the club doesn't get the support maybe there won't be a South Somerset next year what would you do then I wonder??

Well said!! i completely agree. If you take a look at the fixture list at the beginning of the year, the chairman and old committee did their best to secure Somerset tracks. Look at the second half of the fixture list and its OUT OF SOMERSET!!! makes you angry as a rider, you may as well call the club devon and dorset. I hear also that our presentation evening may also be out of SOMERSET. People wont want to ride for Ssmxc next year...as all the tracks will be based out of somerset. We've already been told that the club are securing good tracks for us next year...one question...where will they all be!? With everyones financial situations at the moment they cant afford to drive miles to go racing which is out of their area. TAKE NOTE

why are a somerset based club riding all the way down combe martin? why cant we go up too all the tracks around bristol? is it because are new chairman lives down that way? i think its very unfair it seems to me that southwest motocross club are mustering there way in too run are club aswell!!

hi no one from the commitee have asked anyone to buy a kit for the team event we are trying are hardest to make southsomerset work for all our riders.

Do you not think you should be giving something back to the riders? You shouldnt be asking the riders to buy a kit!!!

Hi,Calling auto riders......Multi time world 500 mx champion Dave Thorpe is running a training day next Tues at whiteway barton from 9am-3pm .cost is £85 with a maximum 6 riders so be quick.

Hi please check the fixture list for new updates for the remaining races.
The commitee have been working hard to secure some excellent tracks for next season also .
Team event 19/20th September is at Bromyard All qualifying riders will be notified by post in the next few days.
Tiverton 2 day is club champs both days (seperate) ,with all races to count for trophies/prize money over the weekend.
